Chester BID are teaming up with the Deaf Support Network to provide businesses across the city with 2 hour Deaf Awareness Training Sessions. This is a part of a wider programme to make the city more accessible for all who work, visit and live in and around the city.
The Deaf Awareness Training Sessions will provide BID businesses the information to support customers and clients who have hearing loss through knowing more about:
- The prevalence of hearing loss/ BSL users
- What it is like to have a hearing impairment
- How to better communicate with the deaf community
- The importance of good communication strategies
- Simple rules of communication
- Supporting those with hearing loss
