Invitation to Join an Employer Roundtable on Future Skills in the Curriculum at the University of Chester

The University of Chester is starting 2024 off with ambitious plans. Their new Student Education Plan sets out their vision and roadmap for the future design and delivery of all their taught courses for more than 14,000 students.

With 87% of students wanting to stay and work within 30 miles of the campus where they studied; The university of Chester want to equip them all with the skills and the competencies to match the workforce priorities of businesses in the North West and Midlands regions that we serve.

The University of Chester need your (local businesses) experience and views to inform their plans.

The University of Chester said: “In February 2024 we are holding employer roundtable discussions at our sites in Cheshire and Shrewsbury. We want to hear from you about the technical and interpersonal skills valued in your companies and industries; and the occupational competencies that match your workforce needs. By taking part in these guided discussions you will inform our priorities and our approaches to embed Future Skills in the Curriculum. We also hope you will benefit from the networking opportunities with other employer representatives and with University of Chester staff.” – Professor Jackie Potter, Dean of Academic Innovation
