Full house for Christmas networking

CHESTER businesswomen kicked off the festive season with snowmen, mince pies and a Christmas quiz.

The West Cheshire Women’s Network held its final event of the year at the Holiday Inn, Chester South onThursday, November 29.

Founded in 2013, the West Cheshire Women’s Network provides an opportunity for businesswomen to come together, discuss best practice, listen to inspirational speakers and have valuable networking time.

Co-hosted by Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, Natwest PLC, West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce and Cheshire West and Chester Council; the group meet four times a year with a different guest speaker or activity at every event.

Guests were greeted with a selection of tea, coffees, cakes and mince pies.

There was plenty of yuletide cheer in the air as each guest received a special locally produced Christmas gift as a thank you for their continued support over the past 12 months.

Attendees were then given the opportunity to network before the festive themed games began and prizes were won.

“This was a great way to end another fantastic year,” said Carol Vella, senior economic development officer at Cheshire West and Chester Council.

“Our attendees were once again thanked for their support with an individual gift made up of individual boxed chocolates, pre mixed tonic and tonic syrups.

“A big thank you to Chester based Jeffrey’s Tonic and Leonidas Chester for providing those for us.

“Our dates for next year have already been planned, all dates are listed on our Facebook page with speakers announced in the new year.

“We look forward to welcoming attendees to our first event of 2019 on Thursday, March 14.”
