Chester Together we can
In March 2020 Chester BID created the #ChesterTogether campaign as a reaction to the COVID-19 crisis. The campaign initially focused on the immediate needs of businesses recovery, consumer engagement connecting supply/demand, safety and welcome initiatives, and a communication and PR plan to drive spend and footfall.
From March – August 2020 the campaign achieved 60 pieces of PR coverage including print and digital coverage as well as radio and TV features, installed a signage scheme across the city and provided businesses with safety and welcome posters and floor markers.
During that same time, Chester BID secured 800 FREE parking spaces daily to support essential workers and shoppers through a partnership with Chester Racecourse. The campaigns social media reach was 975,000+ organically with 67,000+ views on the BID’s consumer website www.experiencechester.co.uk.
The campaign has continued to pivot as this crisis has evolved and it continues to connect the people and businesses of Chester for mutual support.
