Chester Duck Race with The Countess Charity

Chester Duck Race with The Countess Charity
The Countess Charity are delighted to bring back the Chester Duck Race for 2023 and we are also delighted to once again adopt another duck this year!

The Duck Race will be taking place on Saturday 1st April and with it being the NHS 75th birthday year they are planning on making the event bigger than ever. Activities start at 12 noon and the race will be at 3pm – Kindly sponsored by Hickory’s Smokehouse Chester

This is a free, family friendly event. There will be lots of duck related items available to buy and a colouring competition with prizes to be won! Advised to bring cash if you want to take part.

Donations from the event will be going to their Blue Skies Balcony appeal. Which is an appeal to build a balcony onto the Intensive Care Unit at The Countess of Chester Hospital.

This year Little Sutton Church of England Primary School have decorated our adopted duck with the children’s favorite thing about Chester … The penguins are the winner!
