Chester BID Launches ‘#InvestChester’ Campaign
Stakeholders and property industry leaders attended an event in Chester
A campaign set to unlock Chester’s potential as a place to invest was launched by Chester BID last night (Wednesday, November 16).
More than 30 stakeholders and leaders from the property sector attended the event at Knights Building on St Martin’s Way to hear about #INVESTCHESTER which aims to highlight the city as the number one investment opportunity in the region. The event was supported by Grosvenor and Cheshire West and Chester council.
Carl Critchlow, CEO of Chester BID, said: “Chester is in a fantastic location; it has great transport links, schools, and some of the biggest names in technology, finance, and manufacturing on its doorstep. But Chester has masses of unlocked potential, which we want to highlight to potential investors and developers with the #INVESTCHESTER campaign.
“With the opening of the new Chester Market and completion of the Northgate development, now is the perfect time to showcase the city to the private sector. We want to encourage investment in quality office space, more residential developments, and the renovation of several long-dormant strategic locations. It really is a very exciting time for the city.”
Speaking at the event was Caroline Baker, North West Managing Partner for leading commercial property estate agents, Cushman and Wakefield and John Egan, Project Director at Vertex Hydrogen, which is designing, developing and building the UK’s first low-carbon hydrogen production plant at Stanlow.
Over the coming months, Chester BID will be funding an extensive social media campaign supported by targeted PR, marketing, and opportunities for the property sector to visit Chester and discover first-hand what the city has to offer.
Carl said: “There’s never been a better time to invest in the city and we are just at the beginning of this promising journey. We want to encourage everyone to get behind promoting Chester as the number one investment opportunity in the North West – with the right support we believe Chester has a bright future.”
