As restrictions relating to Covid-19 are eased Cheshire West and Chester Council and CH1ChesterBID are working together to support the re-opening of high street businesses.
To enable hospitality businesses to accommodate more customers we have been asked to extend the hours of Alfresco dining which will require the current hours of pedestrianisation to be extended to make this possible.
The proposal is for a temporary extension in hours of pedestrianisation for the remainder of the summer of 2020 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 20:00 on Watergate Street and Bridge Street. This will mean no motor vehicles, other than emergency vehicles, will be able to access the above roads between 10:30 and 20:00 hours on those days.
