Chester BID’s enhancing initiatives are focused on creating a city that is clean, safe, and welcoming for people who shop, visit and work in Chester.
We have expanded our current cleaning activity by appointing a full-time BID Maintenance Operative. Tom, uses the latest specialist equipment to carry out daily cleaning tasks and maintenance work for businesses, over and above the level provided by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Our City Host, Monica has been a constant presence on the streets of Chester since 2016. Welcoming and signposting thousands of visitors, whilst also logging any environmental and anti-social behavior issues that may arise.
Since 2017, Chester has held the Purple Flag accreditation, an internationally recognised standard that measures the safety and management of a city's night-time economy. This accreditation is funded by Chester BID.
I always feel incredibly supported by the BID.The biggest thing that has improved our business is the deep clean that the BID provides. We are a very prestigious brand so keeping our storefront clean is important to us.
